General Terms and Conditions of Business Agreement

Booking service

1. As agent for your booking, R.A.S. will arrange your reservation with the hotel you have selected.
2. Reservations via R.A.S. are free of charge for hotel guests.

Hotel accommodation agreement and payment

1. The accommodation agreement with the hotel comes into effect at the time the reservation is made with the hotel you have selected. Payment is made directly to the hotel at the room rate which has been confirmed by R.A.S. All rights and obligations arising from this accommodation exist directly and exclusively between the booking party and his/her chosen hotel.
2. R.A.S. will arrange for the room(s) to be reserved immediately at the time of booking.
3. Confirmation of the reservation will be sent to the client by e-mail. Room Advice Service does not, however, have a technically foolproof method for checking that the confirmation of a reservation sent by e-mail has reached the addressee. The booking remains effective irrespective of this.

Reservations

1. Confirmed reservations will be held by the hotel during the whole of the first night, regardless of the arrival time. For non-arrival or in the event of a late cancellation, the guest will remain liable for payment pursuant to the cancellation and no-show policy followed by the hotel.
2. The proper management of room availability and rates is the responsibility of the hotel. Therefore, R.A.S. cannot be held liable for any overbookings which arise either prior or subsequent to the arrival of guests, even if the reservation has been officially confirmed by the hotel.

Amendments and cancellations

1. In order to avoid misunderstandings, any amendments and cancellations should always be made via the R.A.S. Hotel Reservation System. R.A.S. accepts no responsibility for any changes or cancellations which are made in any other way.

Hotel categories and hotel information

1. The international hotel ratings based on the star system serve only as an indication of certain standards. The hotel ratings shown are based on assessments made by the hotels themselves, as well as on reports from R.A.S. clients and the appraisals of R.A.S. itself.

Agreed room-rates

1. All room rates provided to clients by R.A.S. are as quoted by the hotel at the time the reservation is to be made. If a hotel should choose to reduce this rate at any time depending on room availability, R.A.S. has no authority to demand that the hotel accordingly reduce the rate originally quoted to the guest.
2. The prices may or may not include breakfast; this may also apply in the case of weekend rates.

Data protection

1. R.A.S. provides the hotels only with the guest information which is essential for the booking to be made. No further information is conveyed. All regulations and laws governing data protection are strictly adhered to.
2. The transfer, wholly or in part, of any data into other media or the use of such data by the hotels or other third parties for purposes other than those provided for here is only allowed with the express permission of RAS Sitges, S.L., Sant Pere de Ribes, Spain.

Law

1. This General Terms and Conditions of Business Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of Spain. The parties agree to submit any dispute which may arise in the interpretation and performance of this Agreement to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the city of Barcelona, Spain.
